Can you put iphone 3gs firmware on your iphone 3g and get video camera? Please Awnser?
I know where to get iphone 3gs firmware 3.1 and want video camera on my iphone 3g. From what I have heard its just a software based camera and that's why the software update is bigger for it.
So my questions are
Can you put 3gs firmware on the 3g?
Will it add camera?
And is a software based or hardware based camera thanks for awnsering and please only respond if you have proof or can explain.

Ans : Yes , definitely . iPhone 3G & iPhone 3GS utilises the same firmware .
Will it add camera ?
Ans : I don't really understand what you want but I'll try .. .. Nope . iPhone 3GS has a 3 MP camera while an iPhone 3G has a 2 MP . It is fixed & furthermore it is a hardware difference , not a firmware , so it can't be updated through a update via iTunes .

If you're talking about the video camera . Yes & no . iPhone 3G does not have video capabilities , but if you have a jailbroken one , you can install cycorder app to have a makeshift 'video' , although I think the quality is lower because of the slower frame rate . The reason for the slower frame rate (15fps) is because iPhone 3G does not have the hardware power to boost it up to the level of the iPhone 3GS with a 30fps frame rate .
