A look at what is currently available on eBay

Canon FS200 or Canon HF200?
I'm shopping for a new, very good, video camera. I have a macbook pro with Final Cut Express 4 as an editing system. This is my first mac so I do not know much about the types of videos it supports. This camera will be used for casual, day-to-day filming as well as artistic videos using macro settings and focus. I am torn between these two cameras. Which one should I get?
Currently, the Canon FS200 is on sale on Amazon, so I would recommend this camera because it is a better deal at the moment. The main difference between the two cameras is that the HF200 can record high-definition, while the FS200 cannot. However, for day-to-day and also artistic filming, I don't think the ability to film high-definition video is very relevant.
The FS200 has good product reviews (4 out of 5 stars) on Amazon with 52 customer reviews:

...but so does the HF200, with 119 customer reviews:

Besides the ability to film high-definition, the other major difference between the two cameras is the price. Right now, the HF200 sells for $549.00, while the FS200 sells for only $249.00 on Amazon. I don't think the difference between high-definition and standard-definition is worth $300 for regular use, so I recommend the FS200.
The FS200 is available in red or silver. Red comes with free shipping, while silver is temporarily sold out as of right now.
Good luck with your decision!
