Laptop... With XP PRO?
Ok so for my high school (which specializes in technology) i need a laptop... but i want to get a laptop that runs XP Pro and has about a 120gb hd and dvd burner 1gb ram and good graphics firewire and memory card reader (needs to be able to read MS Duo for sony cameras) and portable and lightweight (i like the dell vostro 1400) but i would like to get a laptop that can last me until college (4years) and can Edit Video... and has some productivity software. OFFICE.... MS that is,, any question ask me.....
so wait your reccomending me to buy a HP with the basics and adding RAM and hard drive? yeah thats great but i wanted to get something a little nicer and easier...
Based on your specific requirements/desires, sounds like "building" your own would be the way to go. I don't mean physically building it, but go to the Dell/HP/Acer websites and pick the things you want. Its a give and take, and you'll find a vast assortment of options and prices. I don't know that you will find an "off the rack" system that will do ALL that you want.
