How can i use an HDTV4250 io digital cable box on a standard definition tv?
the tv has white, red, and yellow video ports, but the wires from the box are red blue and green? which corresponds to which, and how do i hook it up
The red and white wires are audio, right and left stereo channels respectively and the yellow wire is composite video.
The red, blue and green wires on the 4250 are component video outputs, which a standard definition TV is unlikely to have.
Refer to the link to the datasheet on this box (below). The picture of the back panel clearly shows red, white and yellow jacks for audio and video out which should work nicely for your TV. If you don't have a composite audio/video cable (red-white-yellow) you can pick one up pretty much anywhere audio/video equipment is sold.
